Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil: for thou art with me thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

Roger - I will truly miss you. What fond memories ... (i.e. babysitting me when I was young, you visiting California when you were in the Navy, going to Hollywood Park and sight-seeing Southern California attractions).
You were always making us laugh and showing how you cared about life and family. It has truly taught us how playfulness and love can bring a smile to person.
Also, thanks for the ruff-house-play when we were young - it served me well (only close family will know that means). You are truly in the midst of God's Kingdom now and you will be remembered.

Lisa (only Sister) lit a candle on 14th June, 2008:

I light this candle in your memory on June 14, 2008. When you were born I was the baby of the family and wanted it to stay that way. I was the third child and the only girl, and my Momma brought this little bitty baby home. I am told that you were crying and because your cry was so low I got you off the bed and was dragging you to your Momma by your clothes. Everyone was stressed of course b/c you had been in the hospital for 2 months so that you could gain weight. I didn't mean to hurt you I was trying to help you because they were not aware that you needed them. But, I was always there to hear you.

Jackie lit a candle on 14th June, 2008:

Roger I light a candle today in remembrance of you. Your personality is one that I will never forget. I remember our last conversation about Titan tickets and how I use to always want you to sell my tickets to the games nobody wanted to go to. I'm sure I will go to my first game and unconciously look around trying to see if I see you out there selling tickets. You might be gone but the memories will last forever.

Light a candle for Roger Abernathy
